Extra, extra! Read all about it
Karyn has been very busy behind the scenes and secured a reporter from the Southland Times to take an interest in our progress. Instead of us contacting papers willy nilly and hoping for positive reporting we could talk to our guy who would know our background and be less likely to write something damaging.
Whanau Brownies release date
One of our latest initiatives 'Whanau Brownies' is set to be released June 10th.
What is it?
Whanau Brownies is a 'you-scratch-my-back-i'll-scratch-yours' system to earn brownie points with our immediate communities, in particular our families, and build a great reputation.
A simple chart lets people know whats happening and keeps track of each persons time input to reward them fairly.
Basically your points build up the more often you help out; whoever has the most points each month has first choice of what we do (say, help their granddad tear down a shed) then their points are reset back to zero. You can play as big or little part as you feel like.
You can find it on our wikispace http://parkoursouthland.wikispaces.com
